About the Event

“Holiday Gifts For Pets and Their People” is a holiday craft event for and about pets and their people.  It emphasizes hand-made crafts (no imports here!) and animal-related and themed activities.  The event is ultimately a fundraiser for animal rescue organizations in the Colorado area.

Our Mission…

“Holiday Gifts For Pets and Their People”TM is a fun, public, pets-welcome event in which a variety of people and groups work together for the benefit of animals in need in the Colorado area through hand-made artisan/craft sales and animal related and themed activities.

The event celebrates and honors animals as our pets and our partners, as well as provides a venue to raise funds for smaller, less-publicized Colorado non-profit animal organizations that actively and positively support and promote the well-being of animals.

Pets Welcome…

Well-behaved pets are always welcome on leashes or in carriers (at their owner’s risk).

Contributions…

At least 10% and up to 100% of every dollar you spend at the event benefits Colorado animal rescue groups directly.  No amount is taken out for advertising, administration or booth rentals.  The organization, preparation and venue for the event are all donated on behalf of the animals.

Our History…

“Holiday Gifts For Pets and Their People” was conceived and created in 2007 by Chris Collins, owner of Licks and Snuggles pet sitting, Chris’ Creations and 15 year veteran animal rescue volunteer.  In association with Tagawa Gardens, the concept grew wings and became Denver’s premier holiday event for pets.  It brings together the gifts and talents of true artisans with an awareness to the public of smaller, less publicized organizations dedicated to animals and their well-being.  The event is set up in a community participation, donation and volunteer format to allow most of the funds collected to go directly to animals in need.   Through the support, generosity and dedication to the community and its animals, Chris Collins and Tagawa Gardens continue to be the driving forces behind this ever-growing annual event. Of course the event would not exist without the hard work and dedication of its many participants.  Please visit “Participants, Partners and Links” for a list of this year’s contributors.
